Nutrien, Bombala listed 7910 district-bred sheep for their annual feature breeder and weaner sheep sale on Thursday on AuctionsPlus.

The sheep presented in excellent condition and were all vendor-bred from accredited properties.

Sale summary -

Top price for the sale at $327 was recorded for 13 first-cross ewes, September-shorn, one and half years and weighing 58.6kg sold on account R.T Peadon, Ando.

Other sales of first-cross ewe hoggets included 180 September/October 2020-drop, weighing 43kgs and by Retallack Border Leicester (BL) rams from Hazeldean, Centre Plus and Greendale-blood Merino ewes sold on account Murdoch Bibbenluke, Bombala for $290: Moo Farms, Cathcart sold 240 August/September 2020-drop, by Retallack BL rams from Inglewood-blood Merino ewes and weighing 42kg for $270 and Dungaree Pastoral Co, Bombala received $271 for their pen of 250 September 2020-drop unshorn ewes out of Adina-blood Merino ewes.

Sales of Merino ewe hoggets included 120, Richmond (SRS)-blood one and half years, January-shorn sold by M.A and R.L Stewart, Bombala for $222; 44 Adina and Hinesville-blood, September-shorn and weighing 49.5kg sold by R.T Peadon, Ando for $236 and Moo Farms, Bombala sold 375, 15-16 month, December-shorn, Inglewood-blood ewes weighing 46kg for $240.

Among the older ewes the following sales were recorded: $281 for 298 NSM five and half year,, June-shorn, Corella-blood sold by Corella Pastoral Co, Bombala; D.L Oliver, Bibbenluke received $205 for his 62 NSM Yarrawonga-blood, June-shorn six and half year ewes and D.J and D.A Barker, Ando sold 170 NSM Koonwarra-blood, June-shorn six and half year ewes, weighing 63.1kg for $201.

There was keen interest in the lines of sappy Merino wether lambs with the top price of $151 recorded for 545 unshorn, August 2020-drop, Inglewood-blood and weighing 38kg sold on account Ibisberg Pty Ltd, Bombala.

Other sales of Merino wether lambs included 430 Inglewood-blood and unshorn weighing 37.1kg sold by Moo Farms, Bombala for $145; Corella Pastoral Co, Bombala sold 325 unshorn August/September 2020-drop weighing 33.8kg for $145 and J.M Power and K.A Talbot, Bombala received $142 for their offering of 213 Corella-blood, September 2020-drop and unshorn and weighing 29.5kg.

D.J and D.A Barker, Ando sold 145 first-cross wether lambs weighing 34.5kg, January-shorn and by Meadowbank BL rams from Koonwarra-blood ewes for $135.
