Eidsvold Livestock and Property held their annual Santa/Santa Infused Show and Special Store Sale on 18 February.

There was a total yarding of 1579 including 159 cows and calves.

A good quality line-up of cattle were presented and prices remained firm with a softening in places, but also saw an increase in prices for the cattle in demand at the moment.

Feeder Heifers plus feeder Steers increased in price as did the quality of the animal.

A well-presented line of Santa Steers from Rick and Alice Greenup of Eidsvold Station took out Champion pen of the Santa Steers and Santa Infused Steers, they sold at a top of 568c/kg with an average weight of 326.6kg to average 499c/kg.

Tim and Megan Allan won the Champion Pen for Santa Heifers, which sold for 450c/kg and weighed an average of 403kg returning $1818 per head.

Gordon and Wendy Coulston won the Champion pen for the Infused Santa Heifers and won Overall Champion Pen for their Heifers, which sold for 448c/kg and weighed an average of 411kg returning $1832 per head.

Santa Steers sold for 570c at 163kg returning $929 per head.

Brahman X steers sold for 424c at 341kg returning $1449/hd, while Brangus steers sold for 532c at 249kg returning $1324/hd.

Droughtmaster X Steers sold for 542c at 189kg returning $1025 per head, while Mundubbera Santa steers x sold for 444c at 388kg returning $1728/hd.

Eidsvold Santa X heifers sold for 460c at 280kg returning $1288 per head, while Santa heifers sold for 450c at 334kgs returning $1521/hd.

Monto Santa Charolais X heifers sold for 448c at 411kg returning $1842 per head, while Santa heifers sold for 444c at 434kg returning $1930/hd.

Mundubbera Angus X heifers sold for 452c at 277kg returning $1256 per head, while Santa heifers sold for 450c at 403kg returning $1818/hd.

Monto Droughtmaster X heifers sold for 440c at 190kg returning $838 per head.

Cows and Calves topped at $2580 per unit with a total of 159 Cows Calves units averaging $2127 per unit.
